Observes/view various procedures such as ear lavage, ECG, spirometry, injections, peak flows, pulse oximetry, breathing treatments, suture removals, wound dressings, vision/hearing tests, urine pregnancy tests, urine dips, blood glucose testing, and blood hemoglobin (hemocue) testing. It is anticipated as an Apprentice there may be challenges with implementation of skills learned in the Medical Assistant Program, the Apprentice is expected to provide feedback to their Mentor on areas they may be struggling with so the Mentor can work with the Apprentice to provide additional coaching or scenarios that allow for practice of skills.
