Role summary: The Behavioral Health (BH) Medical Director (MD) for AI Policy & Governance provides clinical leadership to ensure artificial intelligence (AI)including predictive models and generative AIis designed, validated, implemented, and monitored in ways that are clinically sound, ethical, safe, compliant, and equitable. -Ensure equitable performance across populations (e.g., depending on how model was trained, training data may not always be representative), identify and mitigate algorithmic bias in care decisions; align AI deployment with organizational values and patient trust.
Assist with meeting directly with CI providers (frontline staff) to answer questions and come up with action plans related to CI contract, other related Clinical integration meetings that require clinical representative. Job Responsibilities: Provide direct outreach to members and/or providers in order to close quality gaps and maintain or exceed expected population health outcomes per HEDIS, Stars and NCQA.
Positions are accountable for the full range of clinical practice performance which may include but is not limited to improvement on HEDIS and STARs gap closure, coding accuracy, facilitating effective education, and reporting, effective super utilizer engagement (e.g., members with complex and/or chronic conditions), and proactively identifying performance improvement opportunities using data analytics, technology, workflow changes and clinical support. The Clinical Quality Consultant (CQC) drive clinical relationships and engagement with account management, quality registered nurses, physician practices, members, and pharmacies while partnering internally (with areas such as Network contract ACO managers, Health Care Economics and Analytics, Medical Directors, Reporting, Health Plan market leaders) with a goal of improving health, well-being, quality, and practice performance while reducing medical costs.
