Prepare surgical suite for operation, admit and prep patients for surgery, administer anesthesia (injectable and gas) under direction of Veterinarian, properly intubate and extubate, closely monitor anesthetized patients from induction to post-op recovery, provide surgical assistance and maintain sterility, perform dental prophylaxis, clean & sterilize surgical instruments & surgical suite, patient discharge, and complete routine maintenance on surgical equipment & machinery. Collect samples (blood, urine and fecal) for laboratory testing, obtain radiographic images (including dental radiographs), process & interpret in-house lab tests (including fecal analysis, ear/skin cytology, urinalysis, and blood smears), safely restrain patients for medical procedures, operate in-house lab machines, and complete routine maintenance on diagnostic equipment.
