Initiate appropriate nursing actions and emergency response within scope and institutional policy; notify the investigator and clinical care team without delay; facilitate additional evaluation, transfer, hospitalization, or higher level of care when indicated; and document all assessments, communications, interventions, and participant responses. Coordinate research care with inpatient and outpatient nursing units, physicians, advanced practice providers, apheresis or cellular therapy programs, Investigational Drug Service, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, cardiology, neurology, and other ancillary services to prevent missed procedures and protocol deviations.
