Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, 18 months to 2 years of ICU RN experience, valid nursing license, drivers license, insurance, skills in stroke assessment, cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent management, trauma and drain management, medication titration, and EKG interpretation. Support within the Department: House Supervisor, charge nurse, RT (Respiratory Therapist) accessible 24/7, hospitalist available 24/7, intensivist rounds Mon-Fri, VCC contact overnight, bedside and central tele monitoring RN staff, and phlebotomy on dayshifts.
