The purpose of this position is to performs traffic signal and street lighting systems troubleshooting, corrective repairs, preventative maintenance, controller installation and modifications, traffic control, camera installation, managing inventory of traffic control devices, street signage, traffic signal and lighting parts, and various work for necessary and required maintenance, repair, or installation of city traffic signal and street lighting systems for the Public Works Department. Ability to perform difficult manual labor for prolonged periods: in severe weather, wet or humid conditions, and in the presence of moderately loud noise as well as fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals; while, either alone or in combination thereof, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
