p>Position Summary The Mental Health Clinician is a member of the Student Support Services Team, whose primary responsibilities are: Supporting Tier 1 Socioemotional Supports for K-8th, such as: Leading and/supporting Compass Circle and Badgework Psychoeducational programming for mental health issues (e.g., bullying,suicide prevention, mental health awareness month) Supporting the development and implementation of socioemotional practices in the classroom Implementing socioemotional screening for students twice a year Teacher and Parent Workshops on socioemotional or mental health issues Being a member of COST Team.
Supporting Tier 2 Socioemotional Supports for K-8th grade, such as:
Providing individual counseling for students referred to services through COST or 504 Plan Group Counseling Check In Check Out Coordinator Friendship (Social Skills/Social Thinking) Groups Teacher and Parent Consultation for individual student supports Suicide Risk Assessments Case management with county mental health systems.
