Responsibilities Include Lead projects to study and scale up new processes at laboratory and pilot scale, including: designing new chemical processing systems, designing experiments to prove out novel concepts, and producing data to inform system scale‑upDesigning new chemical process systems: developing mass and energy balances, drawing P&IDs, specifying equipment, and building systemsContribute to process hazard analyses by contributing and leading HAZOPs, FMEAs, and other hazard reviewsCollaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to effectively communicate design requirements for novel chemical processing systemsCollect and synthesize experimental data, and present results to guide engineering and business decisionsCommission and troubleshoot new equipmentMaintain a safe working environment and lead safety assessments of new equipment and operationsRead, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorWhat We Need You To Bring To The Team Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mining/metallurgical engineering, or chemistry, or related8 years of industry experience in process design, including mass and energy balances, reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, separations, and fluid flow.
