The position requires the ability to perform typical faculty and laboratory activities, including extended periods of sitting or standing; use of computers and audiovisual equipment; movement between offices, classrooms, laboratories, and other university facilities; and occasional lifting or carrying of materials and equipment associated with teaching, research, or diagnostic activities. As Utah's animal health laboratory and a member of the National Animal Health Laboratory Network, the UVDL supports veterinarians, animal agriculture, regulatory and public health partners, animal owners, and the university research community through contemporary veterinary diagnostic services, disease surveillance, and animal- and public-health preparedness.
