Successful candidates will bring a systems engineering approach to understanding physics phenomenology and creating our in-house algorithms and performance models. You will collaborate with a highly skilled team of engineers, physicists, and experts to implement those algorithms into a system or product. The candidate should have proficiency in software languages such as MATLAB and Python and familiarity with software development in C/C++. A successful candidate will also have strong technical writing and communication skills.This position will be full-time, on-site at our Rolling Meadows, IL location.This position is contingent upon funding/contract award, special access program, and acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers requirements prior to start.This position can be filled at the Level 3 Principal Algorithm & Modeling Engineer or Level 4 Sr. Principal Algorithm & Modeling Engineer level based on specific requirements.Basic Qualifications for Principal Algorithm & Modeling Engineer:<ul><li>BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a STEM field with 5+ years of related experience, MS degree in STEM field with 3+ years of related experience, or PhD in STEM field with 1+ years of related experience.</li><li>Experience developing custom algorithms and/or performance models.</li><li>Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations.</li><li>Experience working collaboratively on complex projects that encompass both hardware, software, and firmware.</li><li>Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++.</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Secret security clearance with additional customer specified clearance prior to start.</li></ul>Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Algorithm & Modeling Engineer:<ul><li>BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a STEM field with 8+ years of related experience, MS degree in STEM field with 6+ years of related experience, or PhD in STEM field with 4+ years of related experience.</li><li>Experience developing custom algorithms and/or performance models.</li><li>Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations.</li><li>Experience working collaboratively on complex projects that encompass both hardware, software, and firmware.</li><li>Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++.</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Secret security clearance with additional customer specified clearance prior to start.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Working knowledge of one or more of the following specialty areas of targeting and EOIR/RF systems: sensors/antennas, transmitters/receivers, optics, image processing, and tracking.</li><li>Proficiency in Java and AFSIM.</li><li>Experience developing formal documentation for complex algorithms.</li><li>Experience supporting requirements development and/or supporting implementation of complex algorithms as embedded software.</li><li>Experience working as part of an agile team executing technical work under cost and schedule constraints.</li><li>Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.</li></ul>Primary Level Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Drive global innovation and shape the future of technology - Shure is hiring!  As a Manager, Product Management - Business Model Transformation, you will be the central driver for developing, defining, and deploying new and innovative commerce models across Shure's product lines globally. This highly strategic and cross-functional role requires a deep understanding of modern business model concepts and the ability to execute complex initiatives that span technology, finance, and customer experience.  This is a hybrid position, working out of our Niles, IL HQ Office. 

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Define the Vision: Develop and champion the strategic roadmap for new business models and commerce capabilities, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Device-as-a-Service (DaaS), Subscription services, Usage-Based Billing, and various licensing models (e.g., concurrent, floating, feature activation). </li><li>Business Case Development: Create compelling business cases, including market analysis, financial modeling, and anticipated ROI, to secure executive alignment and investment for transformation initiatives. </li><li>Market Leadership: Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to ensure Shure remains at the forefront of modern commerce models in the Pro Audio and conferencing spaces. </li><li>Lead the Transformation: Serve as the primary driver and product owner for implementing new commerce capabilities across all functional domains. </li><li>Technology & IT: Partner with the IT and Engineering teams to define requirements for the billing system, entitlement engine, customer portals, and integration points necessary to support new models. </li><li>Process & Policy: Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Business Process teams to establish operational processes (e.g., revenue recognition, provisioning, invoicing) and pricing/licensing policies. </li><li>Product Portfolio Alignment: Work closely with individual Hardware and Software Product Managers to ensure new business models are seamlessly integrated into their respective product roadmaps and lifecycle plans. </li><li>Route to Market: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Channel teams to define the optimal go-to-market strategy, pricing structures, and sales enablement materials for new offerings. </li><li>Customer Success & Support: Define the requirements for Customer Service and Customer Success teams to effectively onboard, support, and manage customers utilizing subscription or usage-based models. </li><li>Pilot & Launch: Lead pilots, beta programs, and controlled launches, iterating quickly based on customer feedback and operational performance. </li><li>Other Duties as Assigned</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus. </li><li>Minimum of 7+ years in Product Management, with significant experience (3+ years) specifically defining and launching SaaS, Subscription, or complex licensing/commerce models in a B2B or B2B2C context. </li><li>Domain Expertise: Proven track record of leading major business model shifts, ideally within a company that has traditionally focused on hardware or perpetual licenses. </li><li>Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of the technology required to support modern commerce (e.g., billing platforms, entitlement management, API integration, cloud services). </li><li>Cross-Functional Leadership: Exceptional ability to influence, align, and drive complex projects across diverse functional teams (Engineering, IT, Finance, Sales, etc.) without direct reporting authority. </li><li>Analytical Prowess: Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.</li><li>Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate a complex vision to technical teams and executive leadership alike.  </li></ul> Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The base salary for this position ranges from $102,300 to $174,000, with a midpoint target.  This position may also be eligible for our incentive pay program, which varies based on individual and Company performance in the year.
