SPOs provide positive interactions through operation of campus Safe Ride services, facilitation of found property services, and serving as the eyes, ears and smiles of the Department of Public Safety while representing themselves and the University of Michigan-Flint in a professional and courteous manner. As part of the Department of Public Safety (DPS) team, Student Patrol Officers (SPOs) serve as leaders by offering front line customer service and support to students, faculty, staff and visitors of the University of Michigan-Flint campus.
