Experience: Required: 6 months prior cardiac monitoring or completion of a Cardiac Monitor Technician Program and passing score on the Cone Health Cardiac Monitoring Interpretation Test, administered by leader prior to offer. Performs diagnostic cardiology procedures including applying inpatient telemetry transmitters, electrocardiograms, Holter and 30-day event monitors, signal averaged EKGs.

h5> Job Summary: Observes telemetry monitors continuously, recognizes and documents rhythm tracings and also continuously monitors Cerner Patient Observer “CPO,” recognizes patient movement and proactively alerts nurses and other caregivers to prevent adverse events including patient falls, patient elopement, patient safety, and visitor monitoring. p>Qualifications: • Required: High school diploma or equivalent • Basic knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and rhythm recognition • Ability to perform EKGs independently • Strong computer skills and ability to learn clinical software systems • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Preferred: Completion of a Cardiology Technician or EKG Technician training program • Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) • Prior experience with ZIO monitors, MUSE, and EPIC • Previous experience in a hospital or clinical cardiology setting • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification • Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods • Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as needed • Manual dexterity for equipment placement and computer use.
