Primary Responsibilities and Objectives: · Perform all check-in and check-out tasks · Manage online and phone reservations · Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data · Register guests by collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay) · Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms · Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities · Respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner · Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, and tidy to accommodate guests' needs · Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests · Upsell additional facilities and services when appropriate · Maintain updated records of bookings and payments · Run overnight reports and email to management Education and Experience: · High school diploma is required · At least one year of customer service experience is required Skills and requirements: · Customer service mindset · Excellent communication and organizational skills · Be a team player · Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment Scheduling: · Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working outside of business hours, weekends, and non-traditional holidays · Ability to work outside of regular business hours as required for events, including nights and weekends · May be required to be on-call and aid during times of high demand Environment: · Exposure to an environment typically found in a hotel or restaurant · Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions Physical Requirements: Avenue5 will make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
