The incumbent is responsible for maintaining safe, reliable, and responsive facility operations during the assigned shift by prioritizing urgent maintenance needs, completing assigned preventive work, monitoring facility conditions, communicating issues requiring escalation, and documenting work performed before turnover to day shift personnel. The position exists to help maintain safe, reliable, functional, and code-conscious campus buildings and infrastructure by performing preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, equipment inspections, and system installations involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and related building systems.
