Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, central line care/management, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of ABGs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, CVA and neuro-trauma care, isolation precautions/PPE, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Preferred skills include arterial line management, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury care, triage, ortho trauma, gunshot wound and traumatic amputation management, and STEMI/stroke certified facility experience.
