p>Position Summary: Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Chief Technologist and under the direction of the authorized users in accordance with NRC guidelines, performs routine and advanced nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury. The Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care. The Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates imaging equipment and software proficiently, mostly nuclear medicine imaging equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. p>Responsibilities: • Competently perform imaging procedures, including administering contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals • Perform equipment quality check and adhere to quality assurance guidelines • Maintain compassionate patient care, comfort and safety, while ensuring patient confidentiality • Qualifications: • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program and/or Bachelors degree in relevant field • Registered/registry eligible: NMTCB-CNMT or ARRT(N) • Ability to receive permit to practice(s) as necessary • Ability to produce quality special imaging with little supervision • Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check, urine drug screen and physical. This position offers a unique change of scenery by means of working on a state-of-the-art mobile scanner, and ability to meet new people from various facilities. p>Experience: Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers. Nuclear Pharmacy is responsible for providing radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical care providers under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines; may also consult with or advise physicians and nuclear medicine technologists on the safe and efficacious use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy.
