Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); active California nursing license with no temporary licenses accepted; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience; experience with electronic charting; competency in pediatric dosage calculations, ventilator management, airway care, arterial line management, central line and implanted line care, continuous sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, intravenous vasopressors, blood product administration, dysrhythmia management, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, renal support therapies, and emergency clinical interventions. Clinical responsibilities may include care of ventilated patients, continuous renal replacement therapy, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, external ventricular drain management, intracranial pressure monitoring, high-flow nasal cannula management, post-cardiac and post-neurosurgical care, transplant care, procedural sedation, telemetry monitoring, and wound care.
