Provides direct clinical care for patients, such as obtaining medical and health histories, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting labs and x-rays, determining diagnoses and treatments, prescribing medications, and referring to specialists, as well as other clinical functions, under the direction of attending staff physicians.
