Leads service quality improvement initiatives by: managing staff and projects within the department to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of therapy services and coordination of care services; assisting with the resolution of service/care issues, unusual occurrences (UOs), and patient complaints/grievances; supporting local rehabilitation team members to identify and implement process improvements to increase access, improve efficiency, and promote quality outcomes of therapy services; collaborating within the team and with leaders across teams to enhance care coordination, service delivery, and patient experience; and contributing to the development of new products and services that align with company goals, member needs, and emerging evidence and trends in health care, ensuring implementation of new products/services by local rehabilitation team members. Leads teams in maintaining a safe and compliant care practice by: supervising local rehabilitation teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, training to promote adherence to internal and external policies and procedures; developing reports for administrative and regulatory purposes and disseminating insights from reports to the team; proactively identifying and ensuring teams comply with safety protocols to mitigate risks to patient, staff, and member safety; implementing safety-related policies and procedures and supervising teams within the department to report safety hazards, accidents and incidents, and unsafe working conditions, providing guidance on corrective actions and/or process improvements to avoid future incidents; and accountable for training and ensuring that teams maintain confidentiality of all patient, staff, and member records and information.
