Unit care includes chemotherapy, blood transfusions, continuous IV pain medications, PCAs, central line management, and IVIG. The unit primarily cares for patients with oncology diagnoses; many are at the end of life and transitioning to comfort measures only, and medical diagnoses may also be encountered.
