Responsibilities:
· Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
p>Utilizes Radiation Therapy Equipment, under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist, for the delivery of prescribed doses of ionizing radiation and records pertinent treatment parameters as indicated. Demonstrates the skill and abilities to accurately assess whether or not simulated procedures can be performed or reproduced on the linear accelerator/simulator and modifies setups accordingly.
p>• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill post-operative and surgical ICU patients, including continuous hemodynamic monitoring and rapid response to clinical changes. The SICU Travel Registered Nurse provides high-acuity, critical care to post-surgical and trauma patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit.
