The Oncology Nurse Navigator is responsible for navigating and optimizing the experience of Prostate Cancer patients as they move through the continuum of cancer care, from screening and detection to diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
Work with the Urologist, Radiation Oncologist, and office staff to coordinate care and ensure timely appointments, results reporting, and communication of patient care and follow-up, which includes internal and external care providers.

p>Qualifications include: • High School diploma or GED required • Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and successful completion of the CNA exam required • Maryland CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License required • Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maryland and be on the State of Maryland Registry • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations • Strong computer skills • Ability to read, write and speak English in order to communicate effectively • Physical ability to meet job requirements of lifting, bending and turning.
