Complete sedation screening on all patients who elect moderate sedation; screening includes but is not limited to review of vital signs, BMI, oxygen saturation, ASA classification, risk of obstructive sleep apnea, physical exam of head and neck, and auscultation of heart and lungs. Supervise patients in the recovery room including but not limited to taking vital signs, assessing pain level, evaluating bleeding, educating, and using clinical judgement to escalate concerns to the abortion provider.
