Primary responsibilities include processing incoming reports of disease, assisting in case and contact investigations, data entry into various platforms including the State's CalREDIE and CalConnect databases for communicable diseases, the statewide immunization registry, and supporting the CD program during outbreaks, surges, and emerging public health priorities. Public Health priorities and needs are fluid, and to be most helpful and supportive of our community and health equity objectives, the ideal candidate is flexible, able to shift their priorities and support across programs, and sometimes flex their schedule to accommodate pre-scheduled evening and weekend health education or outreach activities.
