Requirements: 15+ years of progressive professional experience in software engineering 7+ years in a senior leadership capacity managing large, diverse engineering teams Demonstrated, hands-on experience architecting and managing large-scale, database-intensive applications in the cloud, ideally in AWS with familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, Aurora, Lambda, S3, Fargate, EKS, CloudFormation, and IAM Substantial experience migrating applications and databases from traditional data centers to the cloud; including planning, execution, and optimization phases Ideally experience migrating legacy Microsoft solutions to modern AWS solutions Knowledge and hands-on experience with legacy Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server, NET, MSMQ Background in Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices Experience with data privacy and security frameworks such as HITRUST, SOC2, and NIST Experience developing AI models, optimizing algorithms, implementing and deploying AI solutions to solve real-world problems Demonstrated expertise with AI frameworks, application to software development, and applying agentic AI to solve real-world problems Background in building, mentoring, and retaining engineering teams, while promoting transformation and fostering a culture of accountability Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and senior partners Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field Preferred Qualifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification Experience with healthcare data, compliance requirements, and security best practices Location: Prefer Franklin, TN or close to one of our North America hubs (Allen, TX, Austin, TX, Costa Mesa, CA, New York City, NY, San Jose, CA, Schaumburg, IL, Scottsdale, AZ). You will: Develop the software engineering strategy, implementation, and agreement on organizational goals and the broader vision Work with Product Management to align engineering projects with product vision, ensure seamless delivery of features, and translate requirements into scalable, high-quality technical solutions Manage a large, diverse engineering organization, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and learning Lead large-scale migration of database-heavy applications from on-premises infrastructure to AWS, ensuring minimal disruption, maximum scalability, and optimized performance Promote best practices in architecture, design and development, testing, deployment, and operations.
