Examples of specialized experience include: Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of air refueling policies, contingency mobility operational plans (OPLANS), principles and practices; Thorough knowledge of Air Force air refueling policies and procedures; Broad knowledge of Air Force air operations, practices, plans, concepts, worldwide missions and policies of the commands functional activities to develop, integrate and coordinate transportation plans and programs; In depth knowledge of flight operations, visual and instrument flight rules, Federal Aviation regulations, the international airway routes and structure, oceanic routes, controlled and special use airspace, aeronautical charts; In depth knowledge of aircraft systems and aircraft performance capabilities and limitations to include range, fuel capabilities, requirements, configuration, loading, takeoff data and weight restrictions, aircraft altitude/airspeed aircraft systems malfunctions, worldwide route planning, etc. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems, in maintaining, retailing, purchasing, or procurement of automotive, rail, air, bus, or other transportation equipment or services, or in the operation of a commercial transportation facility or terminal that demonstrated knowledge of fleet operations; familiarity with Federal, State, and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles; and the maintenance of inventories and cost computations.
