A full-time Medical Director coordinates a team, which includes On-Site Physicians, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Geriatric Nurse Practitioners, Certified Nursing Assistants, Dietitians, Physiatrists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Chaplains, and Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists. As a Registered Nurse working in the nursing home you are responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day activities performed by nursing assistants to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
