The Quality and Safety RN in Women's Health participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of a system-wide quality and safety program with responsibility for the functional components of the program, including auditing, chart review, staff competency, simulation and drills, education, and interface with other clinical departments. Assures the performance of concurrent and retrospective medical record review including: review of provider progress notes and nursing and other clinical documentation, laboratory data, radiology and imaging reports, surgery reports, etc., to identify potential quality and safety improvement opportunities.
