p>Responsibilities include: • Leading structural design for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and structures • Condition inspections, reports, studies, and specifications • Preparing, reviewing designs, specifications, and cost estimates for highway transportation structures • Preparing construction documents, including stamping finalized plans for highway transportation structures • Performing load ratings, analysis, and supervising, managing, and mentoring staff • Ensuring structural group and Mead & Hunt policies and procedures are followed • Preparing task and contract technical and price proposals • Managing project and contracts deliverables, budget, and schedules • Leading business development opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic region • Other civil engineering projects in other locations as needed • Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
• A bachelors degree or higher in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university • A minimum of twelve (12) years of industry-related experience • PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in Maryland within 6 months of hire.
