The Surgical Technologist works as part of the operating room team, preparing patients, instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies before surgery; assisting surgeons and nurses during procedures; maintaining sterile technique; and cleaning and resetting the OR afterward. Graduate of a Surgical Technology program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES , OR completion of formal U.S. Army, Navy, or Air Force training as a surgical technician, surgical technologist, or operating room technician.
