Responsible for operational and supervisory leadership by overseeing daily workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance (UNOS, CMS, OPTN), managing staffing and schedules, guiding complex clinical decision‑making, mentoring and evaluating coordinators, supporting quality improvement and facilitating interdisciplinary communication, and partnering with the Nurse Manager to maintain program continuity, growth, and high‑quality patient care. Responsibility involves coordination of interdisciplinary medical care delivery system under the direction of the Medical Director; liaison functions with patient, family, medical staff, referring physicians, and insurance companies; individualized patient/family teaching; assessment of appropriate medical intervention for effective use of resources and quality assurance.
