In addition, the Program Manager must have the ability to work independently, have excellent organizational skills, have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with state and federal agencies, local planners, partners, cooperators, and the public, have demonstrated excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, and have the ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office software. The Program Manager will collaborate with the staff of the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, key program managers within the Virginia Department of Forestry, contractors, and other partners to leverage financial resources, expertise, and capacity to accomplish project management, planning, analysis, implementation, and assessment within the recovery area.
