Additional Information: Orientation lasts 2-3 days, including a scavenger hunt; experience with telemonitoring on Cerner electronic charting system is preferred; unit utilizes ship color navy blue scrubs; rapidly changing patient flow with an average length of stay of 3 days; hospitalist available 24/7; may require float to telemetry or obstetrics units if experienced. Responsibilities include managing patients with conditions such as COPD, post-op care, GI bleeds, OBGYN surgeries, ortho, sepsis, altered mental status, stroke, cellulitis, and alcohol withdrawal.
