Essential Duties:Obtaining a history of present illness in a concise mannerReviewing and obtaining past medical history, social history, family history, and review of systemsConsult and treat patients virtually by providing clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic telehealth medical services in the area of his/her experience and training, along with related administrative servicesOrdering and interpreting laboratory and radiologic testing when neededObtaining records and relevant data in the process of patient evaluationDeveloping an orderly plan for care based on clinical impressions and evidence-based medical guidelinesPrescribing medications in accordance with State and Federal laws/guidelinesConsulting with other medical providers when appropriateReferring to appropriate specialists when necessaryKey Knowledge Areas:Several key knowledge areas and disease states commonly present in the urgent care setting. Providers must be licensed in CT (with additional NY and MA licenses preferred) to work in the comfort of their home office or clinical setting to treat patients during overnight business hours and weekends.
