Serving as a key connection between patients, families, surgeons, and the interdisciplinary care team, the RN Navigator helps patients understand their plan of care, navigate complex healthcare needs, and access the resources and support they need before, during, and after surgical treatment. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and members of the care team, including hearing and responding quickly and accurately to spoken information, alarms, needs, and concerns, particularly during emergency situations.
