Performs various procedures to include but not limited to triage, peripheral IV starts, phlebotomy, EKG, specimen collection, obtaining vital signs, cardiac monitoring, splinting, transporting patients within the hospital, reports/documents to nursing staff all information relevant to patient condition. The Paramedic responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Administers a variety of patient care tasks and special procedures utilizing unique skills/training in which competency has been demonstrated and documented in accordance with the National EMS Scope of Practice, Medical Director approval and hospital policy.
