Compensation & Benefits New uniforms provided (coat, shirts, pants) Annual fleet upgrades with new ambulances every year Power stretchers and power load systems Service resources and protocols including: • Blood Protocol participation • Zoll Z Vent® portable ventilators • Sapphire IV pumps • LUCAS devices • iPads for on-the-go charting • Video laryngoscopes (early 2026) • Opportunities to participate in research initiatives (PAIN Study Program, Nitrous use by BLS providers) Key Responsibilities Respond to 911 and non-emergency calls in a safe, timely, and professional manner Perform advanced patient assessments, clinical decision-making, and treatment planning Provide ALS interventions within PA scope of practice, including advanced airway management, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and resuscitation Utilize advanced equipment such as mechanic ventilators, IV pumps, LUCAS devices, and blood products per protocol Serve as the lead clinician on scene, coordinator care with EMTs, AEMTs, dispatch, medical command, hospitals, and partner agencies Provide mentorship, clinical guidance, and support to EMT-Basics and AEMTs Accurately complete electronic patient care reports (ePCR) Ensure ambulance, equipment, and medication readiness Participate in quality improvement, training, protocol development, and research initiatives Uphold patient confidentiality, professionalism, and organizational values Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Current Pennsylvania Paramedic certification Valid Pennsylvania drivers license with acceptable driving record Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS/ITLS card Emergency Vehicle Operator (EMSVO) certificate Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including lifting and moving patients Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills Ability to work independently and remain calm in high-stress situations Clearances must be dated within 90 days: Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal, Act 33 with renewal, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal Preferred Qualifications Prior EMS experience Familiarity with electronic patient care reporting (ePCR systems) Interest in mentorship, education, or service development initiatives.
