Drawing on a broad understanding of MGB/BWH/MGH and sponsor policies and requirements, and displaying a high degree of initiative and independent judgment, the incumbent will collaborate closely with Pathology leadership, physicians, scientists and MGB Research leadership to continually assess and direct a wide range of research issues, including: financial, personnel, operational, regulatory, facilities, systems, programmatic development, long-range planning and project development for the organization. Oversees departmental controlled research funds; evaluates support requests and performs funding analyses, both short and long term, to ensure that fund commitments are done in a way to ensure long term financial stability and availability of resources.
