Performs all processes to prepare tissues for histologic and transmission electron microscopy; diagnostic evaluation including accessioning, appropriate labeling of requisitions and specimen containers, printing cassettes, fixation, preparing packing list for transportation to the histology laboratory, and subsequent discarding of surgical specimens. Overview: Performs gross examination of small biopsy specimens at the direction of the Medical Director or designee and under supervision of the UF Health Pathology Laboratories Electron Microscopy Manager.
