Under the direction of the Emergency Department director, manager, and charge nurse, this position encompasses providing equal coverage in the provision of emergency department secretarial support, in addition to facilitating and coordinating the progression of care including but not limited to; specialty follow-up, home health care, durable medical equipment procurement, etc. for each patient from emergency department admission to disposition either as hospital admission, discharge, interfacility transfer, or deceased. Able to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing, prioritizing, and completing work assignments as well as other duties as assigned.
