Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Must have active state license to apply Certifications: BLS and NIH required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills Feeding tube care and management Pre/Post Hemodialysis management IV therapy and phlebotomy skills Management of cardiac drips, including no titration Description: Position/Specialty: IMC/Stepdown/PCU RN Shift: 3x12 Days, 0645-1915 Ratios/Daily Caseload: 1:4 patient ratio Weekend Requirements: Will work every other weekend Floating: Will float as needed to meet facility needs Required Work Setting Experience: Experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, and IMC/stepdown units Required Cardiovascular Skills/Experience: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR Band Required Gastrointestinal Skills/Experience: Feeding tube care and management Required Genitourinary/Renal Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis management and renal failure Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing ports, arterial line management, Blood product administration, central line care/management, Phlebotomy, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin protocols, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips PCA, procedural sedation administration, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Experience: Craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury Required Orthopedic Case Experience: Ortho trauma and total joint replacements Required Respiratory Skills/Experience: Care of ventilated patient, chest tubes, External CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, Interpretation of ABGs, non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy management Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac Experience with electronic health record systems preferred Experience in a fast-paced and diverse patient care environment preferred Candidates will be required to meet compliance needs in a timely manner Candidates must be committed to completing all necessary training and assessments The unit takes patients of all diagnoses and provides comprehensive care in an interdisciplinary team setting.
