Must have clinical knowledge necessary to competently perform quality patient care duties as defined in job responsibilities and as appropriate for level of certification; Must be able to read, write, and follow written or oral instructions; Must maintain knowledge and skills in all areas within scope of practice; Must demonstrate strong customer service skills display a high degree of empathy tact and kindness toward others have ability to communicate well and work effectively with others and be a team player. A valid Iowa Advanced EMT or Paramedic Certification is essential, along with maintaining ongoing education and certifications from the IDPH Bureau of EMS, including Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation within one year of hire.
