At NorthBay Health the Clinical Nurse Supervisor in the Intensive Care Unit is a transformational leader who functions as the first-line shift supervisor for the unit and has the following responsibilities: Has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the organization Patient Care Services DivisionUtilizes Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model, supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization Responsible for leadership and supervision of direct care staff, daily operations, leading the team to meet service goals, maintaining and promoting professional developmentDelegates care to other health care personnel consistent with their scope of practice, job description, competencyOther duties as assignedWorks under the supervision of the Clinical ManagerEducation: Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
