Extensive knowledge of maintenance of buildings and related equipment; Extensive knowledge of OSHA requirements for maintenance related positions; Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, and Excel; Google Apps; Effective time management and organizational skills; Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback; Ability to work with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Ability to minimize errors with attention to detail; Ability to maintain proper records for accountability; Ability to foster teamwork; Ability to complete tasks independently; Ability to identify training needs for department and assist in implementation; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, contractors, external agencies, vendors, and the community. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university; Five years of demonstrated experience in facilities management, design, construction, or related areas; Two years of experience leading work teams; Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
