Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs pump station electrical components (low voltage, 110, 220, and 480 volt); performs preventative and breakdown maintenance on lift stations, including controls, pumps, air mixers, motors, valves, meters, and instrumentation; operates and maintains wastewater infrastructure; conducts physical and visual inspections of lift stations; clears debris and handles troubleshooting, repair, and replacement for electrical and mechanical breakdowns. Operates a variety of equipment, such as trucks, dump trucks, excavators, loaders, combination jet trucks, CCTV equipment, snowplows, street sanders, hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, electronic test meters, and pumps; participates in housekeeping duties, grounds, and building maintenance.
