They provide comprehensive direct patient care and scholarly practice including obtaining comprehensive patient histories, performing complete physical examinations, ordering and performing diagnostic testing and screening, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing treatment, developing care plans, and providing health maintenance and promotion interventions such as patient and family education and counseling. We offer a progressive educational program for Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioners who are just beginning their career, while also providing seasoned NPs the ability to utilize their skills and knowledge to manage acute patients, perform procedures, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
