Clinical responsibilities include pediatric medication calculations, pediatric medical-surgical and step-down care, tracheostomy and ventilator management, central and peripheral line care, feedings, blood product administration, dysrhythmia management, seizure care, wound care, and total parenteral nutrition and lipid management. Patient diagnoses may include prematurity, apnea of prematurity, retinopathy of prematurity, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, chronic lung disease, cardiac defects, feeding issues, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and iatrogenic neonatal abstinence syndrome.
