The Fire Fleet Services Manager provides direction and oversight to Fleet Services personnel and maintenance operations, establishes fleet management policies and procedures, and works closely with County Central Purchasing, Fleet Management, and Fire Department executive staff to ensure effective, efficient, and fiscally responsible fleet operations. This single-position class is characterized by the responsibility to manage the County Fire Departments fleet of vehicles up to and including heavy truck and transport vehicles, tractor trailer ladder trucks, fire dozers, fire engines, light trucks, specialized rescue vehicles, sedans and light vehicles, and to manage Fire Department maintenance and repair facilities.
