Oncology Technicians work under the direction of our veterinary oncologist to educate and communicate with families, prepare patients for and administer chemotherapy, administer palliative treatment, collaborate with other medical teams to ensure the most comprehensive care for patients, and support/comfort the families of patients who have been diagnosed with cancer. Support patient examinations and operations by assembling required supplies and instruments, securing and bringing patients to examination rooms, and restraining patients; aids as directed by the veterinarian.
