General Requirements Must be fully licensed in the state of Michigan as a Pharmacy Technician Work Experience Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician Two years college experience preferred Retail pharmacy experience preferred Education High school diploma, GED or successful completion of 12 grades combined with continued enrollment in early college program Completion of a pharmacy technician program preferred Specialized Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs. General Purpose of Job: Under direct supervision, assists the pharmacists with technical tasks associated with dispensing and billing medications including selecting, and transporting of drugs, and supplies, complex packaging, stocking, record keeping, transfers, admits, discharges, and drug preparation functions.
